We were blessed once again to get out and play golf. 2019 has started with a bang and the opposite end of the spectrum. We had members absent due to a loss in their family, members awaiting medical procedures, and members rehabbing from medical procedures. All were included in the prayer that was led by Willie Broadnax.
Shout Outs... Thanks to all for your participation! The Birdie Seekers aim to foster a fantastic fellowship through golf. You make it happen; please continue. Our venues are open to all golfers; just send an email or text message to RSVP. Include you full name, venue, your pace of play and your game entry preference in the message. We do not have membership dues or player fees. Golfers may elect to enter some, none, or all competitions. Our core values include, but are not limited too the following:
It seems to rain, mist, or something to that effect each time we play at Northern Hills. That was the case this week too. However, we played our regular Birdie Seekers' format, which is multiple Flighted Average Stroke Low Net (ASLN), Blind Draw, multiple Skins, and Closest-to-Pin (CTP) games. The entire field is always automatically in the CTP; no entry fee is required for the CTP competition. The Skins quorum was two Skins per hole this week. You can read more about us and our format and tournament rules by clicking on the "Format & Tournament" link located top/left of this page.
The field of 38 golfers choose to compete as follows: 37 golfers were enrolled in the ASLN (net) competition, 36 golfers entered the Skins game, and 34 golfers were declared eligible for the Blind Draw competition. There was no Calcutta action taken this week. As a field we were only able to muster 15 birdies and 160 pars at Northern Hills. Hector posted an eagle on hole #1. The Skins D.O.A. report was held to three of them on hole #6.
Congratulations to each of our competition prize winners in each leaderboard category! See the individual results on the leader-board and Blind Draw table on this page. ASLN prizes were awarded to the 1st thru 4th placed golfers in the A, B, and C flight. The Blind Draw quorum allowed prizes for the 1st thur 4th placed teams composed of 4 golfers; "A" was the combination drawn this week at the point of validation.

1/24/2019 1:18:35 AM There were two items corrected; both were in the Blind Draw results. And both were attributed admin oversights. Jim Shaffer and Balfour Wright were not staged properly and or did not display the winning amounts correctly. Thank you for alerting me on this matter. |
