It is time for our 2013 end-of-year Championship!  See below for event details and to sign-up.

General

·         Date: November 9, 2013

·         Time: 7:30 AM (Shotgun start)

·         Course:  Foothills Golf Course (link will take you to the address/directions)

·         Price: $70 (includes golf, lunch, and prize fund)

o   Note: If paying by credit card, will add $2.40 to account for PayPal fees.

·         Players:  We had 24 players at last year’s tournament. I want to make this year’s goal be 30!  We can do it!

·         Registration Deadline: Deadline to register and pay is November1.

o   Note: payment for any RSVP’s made after November 28 will only be accepted by PayPal.

Registration

To register for this event, simply respond in the blog below and provide the following 2 items:

·         Payment method:

o   Check: I will send you my mailing address

o   Credit Card: please provide your email so I can send you the invoice from PayPal

·         Tee box selection: select the tee box you will be playing from in order to calculate your Target Score.  Tee box selections available in the Rules section below.

Format

·         Format is individual stroke play incorporating handicaps, course slope and rating.

·         We will use the Target Score system to calculate a Net Difference that will be used to compare all results so that everyone is competing on the same playing field.  Net Difference will be calculated as follows:

o   Course Handicap = Handicap * Course Slope / 113

o   Target Score = Course Rating + Course Handicap

o   Net Difference = Gross Score – Target Score

·         Handicaps will be captured as of the last update as calculated by Stracka (either the 1^st or 15^th depending on date of tournament.

o   Only players with valid handicaps will be allowed to play.

Scoring Example

·         Gross score will be compared against  your Target Score to calculate a Net Difference (see example below)

·         Please provide your scorecards to Pete after your round.

Rules

·         Each player will need to select a tee box they will play from so we can secure the slope/rating for your Net Diff calculations.

·         For a score to be valid, the player MUST hole out… no Gimmies!
