3/29/2013 1:00:39 PM Ready golf, two golfers going for the green at the same time (when not in close proximity or in line to fire to target), automatically hit a provisional if the ball is thought to be loss/out of bounds, access your putt before it is your turn/ready to putt, more with hast to your next shot. That is the approach I like for my foursome/group's pace of play. |

3/7/2013 9:11:04 AM This only works if golfers care about other golfers. Most don't it's all about them. The only way I see something working is if you have a slow guy in your group? Is to not ask him to play with you any more and tell them why. If a slow player is not in a group he or she will play faster. How do you know if your slow?? Is if there is only one or two of you playing and you are not waiting on the 4some ahead of you. |

2/10/2013 7:38:50 PM Slow golf can make a round miserable. I think many of these tips are good but most of us playing on public courses are playing amongst golfers who over process shots in their mind. This causes them to stand over their ball longer. Also, a foursome of high handicapers or beginner golfers can often be chasing shots from one side of the rough to the opposite side. I think a four hour round on a public course is a bit optimistic but there is no reason we can't keep it to 260 or 270 at the most. I despise being behind a group or groups playing five hour rounds of golf. |

1/13/2013 2:12:37 PM I'm with ya Taxmaster. The thing I like about 240 Golf is the 30 second idea. It is a great way to tell a slow golfer how to pick up the pace without accusing anyone of being slow. |

1/13/2013 1:07:25 PM The only way this will work is if the Starter informs the golfers before they tee off on 1st hole. He can help to identify problem golfers by watching their second shots and informing the Marshall to keep an eye on certain groups with slow players. I personally have an issue wih golfers who like to talk before they hit their shots. Hit your shot and we can talk while moving to the next shot orhole. |

1/12/2013 8:03:04 PM Over time this will help everyone learn how to be ready to play their shot when it's their turn. I'm sending the link to my pro and hope he gets it. |

1/12/2013 1:32:38 AM What if you don't wear a glove? JK, good idea. I for one, teach pace of play as the thing of most importance when teaching beginners golf etiquette. It takes a lot of stress off THEM, which helps them enjoy the game more and come back. |

1/11/2013 9:50:10 PM Good web site. I like the concept. Maybe Golf240 could add a Towel to thier shop. But how about rule #13: The Marshall shall be courteous and remind slow-folks to speed up play. It will be impossible to get all of those slow golfers to read and understand this; let alone abide by its fundamentals. |
