12/14/2011 2:35:34 PM Worked hard on my game the past 4 years (had two children along the way, which took away from some practice time). My first round of golf was when I was 21. I didn't start playing seriously until I was 24. Now I'm 29. I went from shooting in the upper 100s to shooting in the 70's consistently. I worked mainly on my short game. Putting, chipping and wedge play are the most significant parts of your game for improvement. I plan to work hard on my Driver this year. I have never done that before. I'm hoping it helps me drop a few more strokes to pick up a few yards and some accuracy. |

12/10/2011 3:15:39 PM I will say of the these I gotta work on...there are two that hold me back. My number one thing I need to work on is the short sided bunker shot between 5 and 20 yards. I can hit anything outside of that. The other things is to get my driver consistent. For a few holes I will be down the middle, then all of the sudden I get one of the toe and hook it bad. |

12/10/2011 8:20:35 AM I have completely revamped my game over the last year. If you can think about working on it than I most likely have at some point. I started out the year with my HDCP around the 12-15 mark and it has been at 1.5 plus or minus a few tenths since around June. I mostly contribute that to switching from a Ten Finger Grip to an Interlocking grip. It has given me a lot more control of the club. I also changed my putting style a bit after reading Secrets of the Short Game( I am now reading it for the third time) and my PPR has went from 32 to 28. Some of that might have to do with my wedge game improving and getting closer to the hole with chips and pitches. |

12/10/2011 12:31:55 AM I wouldn't say I've worked hard. I have a day job and then some. No way does my practice time compare with a professional golfer. But I have made the most of the time I have, including being very focused on what I'm trying to do. I did put a lot of time in this fall learning how to putt with a right handed long putter after playing my whole life with a left handed standard length putter. I got through that transition with only a few tenth dings to my handicap before it started to go down again. Last year my handicap hovered between 3.0 - 3.5. Right now I'm down to 1.6 and still dropping. Anyone who's been there will tell you, once you get to a handicap this low it takes a lot to move the needle. So I'm quite pleased with my progress this year. |

12/9/2011 11:22:44 PM I started working on it in March pretty good. Then work, teaching others, and the heat stopped me from working on it at all. |

12/9/2011 9:18:46 PM I've worked hard. Calmed down a little because of school taking priority and it being the offseason, but I'm still working on it. The key thing for me this year has been not folding my arms after impact and keeping them extended into my finish position. That's really been helping lower my scores the past year. Made improvement in every aspect of the game this year except for putting where I've actually averaged the exact same amount of putts/hole as last year with 1.79. Yet my handicap is 8 strokes lower. Tells you how much better my ball striking has gotten. |
