I wanted to setup a normal event before the end of the year to allow those that need to fulfill their requirements a chance to play with other members of the club. So, here goes.
· Date: December 18th, 2011
· Time: TBD, but thinking around noon to take advantage (hopefully) of lower afternoon rates.
· Course: Open to suggestions from those that RSVP. Here are a few courses to get the ball rolling, but open to any other suggestions.
o Trilogy at Vistancia (@$49)
o Club West (@$59)
o Papago (@$60)
o Rancho Manana (@$59)
o Raven at Verrado (@$49) o Kokopelli (@$50) o Superstition Springs (@$42)
o Cave Creek (@$45) o ASU Karsetn (@$45) · Price: TBD (based on above). There will be no prizes or food fund, so cost will only include golf. o Note: I will not be collecting fees up front as I do with our tournaments. If you RSVP, you will be asked to pay your fee at the course. If you RSVP and do not show up, I will ask you to pay me for any fees I get charged on my CC for reserving the tee times. Non-payment will result in automatic removal of the club.
· Players: Since this is a normal event, I will only setup 3 tee times (12 total players). The first 11 to respond will be able to play. Anyone who responds afterwards will be put on the waiting list in case someone drops out.
To register for this event, simply respond in the blog below and provide a course recommendation. Course will be selected one week prior to event so I can make the tee times.

12/7/2011 4:58:19 PM hey everyone - based on the responses below, it looks like Papago is the winner. Since I have the Phoenix card, I will call this Friday to make the reseverations. As of now, I have 7 confirmed so will only make 2 tee times for around noon. Will anyone be walking? Let me know so I can bring my push cart as I'm always up for a nice stroll! 12/5/2011 5:33:21 PM Looks like Papago is the front-runner. If selected, actual rate may be cheaper than what I put... especially if you either walk and/or have a City of Phoenix card. I will be able to make the tee times this Friday since I have a Phoenix card (9-day advanced reservations). For those that RSVP'd below, if you have an issue with selecting Papago and/or cannot make it, please let me know now so I do not include you in the counts. |

12/2/2011 5:26:07 PM My vote is for either Superstition Springs or ASU Karsetn a possible third alternative would be Rancho Manana. The first two courses are closer to my dewlling and a lower price. |

12/1/2011 5:01:22 PM My vote is either Papago or Rancho Manana. Both are great courses so either is fine with me. |

12/1/2011 7:24:21 AM i can play if you need me. papago is my vote but it really doesn't matter. where is the first tee and who is the course record? |

11/30/2011 2:45:56 PM Ok. I updated the course listings to include estimated prices taken from GolfNow for this Sunday. Rates are estimated and assume noon tee times, but don't take into account things like card hold passes (e.g., Phoenix card) or walking rates. Also, several courses have lower rates if we wait till say 12:30 or even 1 PM. |
