Hello members; we had another great event yesterday at Gillette Ridge; a good time had by all and a great way to start out the work week.

Listed below are the remaining club events for the season....Please note that if you didn't play the event at Topstone or the event yesterday at Gillette Ridge you MUST play the Club Championship @ Blackledge to fulfill your USGA requirement to play in at least one "Club Sponsored" event a season and remain a member of CT Hackers Golf Club.

The casual/fun events are just that; a date set to just get out and play with other members in the club that you don't normally play with and just play a casual round and have a good time...Though the turnout was small for the last two we had; those that played had a great day.

Here are the remaining events for the 2011 season :

Thursday August 11th ''" Casual/Fun Event @ Oxford Greens Oxford CT…..Approx. first tee time will be at 12:30…..Please respond if you would like to play by Weds. August 3rd.

Sunday September 18th ''" Club Sponsored Event @ Blackledge Golf Course Hebron CT…This will be our Club Championship!!!! Defending Champion is John Olinyk....He won last years Club Championship @ Woodbridge CC....Winner gets their name on a plaque that is displayed at every CT Hackers Event....Who will get their name next to his??? First Tee time will be at 11:00 am…….Format will be…. Play your own ball tee to green….There will be prizes for best NET Scores singles……There will also be prizes for 2 player teams….You will take the best NET score of the 2 players on each hole….There will be prizes for lowest Team NET “Best Ball” score…….There will also be challenge Holes (Long Drive; Closest to Pin etc.) There will be “A” Player and “B” Player prizes for these. The dinner will be a Steak and Chicken Dinner with Pasta; Salad etc…..
Cost of this event is $75 if you pay by Friday August 26th and $85 if you pay by Friday September 2nd. YOU MUST PAY BY SEPTEMBER 2ND FOR THIS EVENT…NO EXCEPTIONS…..

Sunday September 25th ''" Casual/Fun Event @ Lauralview Golf Course Hamden CT …….This could possibly be a fun rematch from the Club Championship!!!! Approx. First Tee Time will be at 11:00 am….Please respond if you would like to play by Friday September 16th.

Saturday October 8th ''" Casual/Fun Event @ Tower Ridge Simsbury CT…….Approx. first tee time will be at 12:00….Please respond if you would like to play by Friday September 30th.
