Hello Members;
All our events for the 2011 season are set. This way you can plan and pick the events you would like to play in. These events consist of Casual/Fun events and Club Sponsored Events. The Casual/Fun Events are for just having club members get together; play a round and have a good time and get to know other club members. These will basically be a set date and course with an approximate tee time….There will be a deadline to respond if you would like to play; and we will make tee times based on the responses. You will pay when you arrive to the course and a format for play will be decided then.
Club Sponsored Events are events that every member must play in at LEAST one a season to remain a member of CT Hackers Golf Club….These events will have a set start time before hand and format….These events will also include a prize ceremony and dinner immediately after the event….Also one of these events will be considered the Club Championship and the NET score winner will have their name put on our Club Championship Plaque and this will be displayed at every event…These events will also have to be paid in advance. There will be 2 deadlines with a discount for paying by the first deadline………………..Address to send payments will be at the end of this message.
So here are the 2011 Events:
Saturday May 21st – Casual/Fun Event @ Tradition Golf Course Wallingford CT…..Approx first tee time 10:00…..Please respond if you would like to play by Friday May 13th……
Saturday June 4rth – Club Sponsored Event @ Topstone Golf Course in South Windsor CT……First Tee time will be at 12:32…..Format will be…Play your own ball tee to green….There will be prizes for best NET Scores singles……There will also be prizes for 2 player teams….You will add both players NET score on each hole….There will be prizes for lowest Team total NET scores…….There will also be challenge Holes (Long Drive; Closest to Pin etc.) There will be “A” Player and “B” Player prizes for these. The Dinner will be: 14 oz Steak Dinner with Pasta; Salad etc….
Cost of this event is $80 if you pay by May 13th and $90 if you pay by May 21st. YOU MUST PAY BY MAY 21ST FOR THIS EVENT…NO EXCEPTIONS…..
Sunday July 10th – Casual/Fun Event @ Tashua Knolls Golf Course Trumbull CT……Approx first tee time 9:00……This will be a fun warm up for the Club Sponsored Event @ Gillette Ridge…..Please respond if you would like to play by Friday July 1st.
Monday July 18th – Club Sponsored Event @ Gillette Ridge Golf Course Bloomfield CT…..First Tee Time will be at 11:00 am…. Format will be…Play your own ball tee to green….There will be prizes for best NET Scores singles……There will also be prizes for 2 player teams….You will add both players NET score on each hole….There will be prizes for lowest Team total NET scores…….There will also be challenge Holes (Long Drive; Closest to Pin etc.) There will be “A” Player and “B” Player prizes for these. The dinner will be a Steak Dinner Buffet….
Cost of this event is $90 if you pay by Friday June 24th and $100 if you pay by Friday July 1st. YOU MUST PAY BY JULY 1st FOR THIS EVENT….NO EXCEPTIONS…..
Thursday August 11th – Casual/Fun Event @ Oxford Greens Oxford CT…..Approx. first tee time will be at 12:30…..Please respond if you would like to play by Weds. August 3rd.
Sunday September 18th – Club Sponsored Event @ Blackledge Golf Course Hebron CT…This will be our Club Championship!!!! First Tee time will be at 11:00 am…….Format will be…. Play your own ball tee to green….There will be prizes for best NET Scores singles……There will also be prizes for 2 player teams….You will take the best NET score of the 2 players on each hole….There will be prizes for lowest Team NET “Best Ball” score…….There will also be challenge Holes (Long Drive; Closest to Pin etc.) There will be “A” Player and “B” Player prizes for these. The dinner will be a Steak and Chicken Dinner with Pasta; Salad etc…..
Cost of this event is $75 if you pay by Friday August 26th and $85 if you pay by Friday September 2nd. YOU MUST PAY BY SEPTEMBER 2ND FOR THIS EVENT…NO EXCEPTIONS…..
Sunday September 25th – Casual/Fun Event @ Lauralview Golf Course Hamden CT …….This could possibly be a fun rematch from the Club Championship!!!! Approx. First Tee Time will be at 11:00 am….Please respond if you would like to play by Friday September 16th.
Saturday October 8th – Casual/Fun Event @ Tower Ridge Simsbury CT…….Approx. first tee time will be at 12:00….Please respond if you would like to play by Friday September 30th.
Registration for each Club Sponsored event will start a hour and ½ before the first tee time…..REMEMBER TO MEET YOUR USGA REQUIREMENT YOU MUST PLAY IN AT LEAST ONE CLUB SPONSORED EVENT A SEASON. Also note that all dinners are Steak Dinners…because well; we feel there is nothing like a good steak after a round; if you are vegetarian or would like chicken or fish let me know when you send in your payment and I will make other arrangements for you….Also if there are players you would like to have in your group let me know when you send in your payment….There will be no restrictions on this this season since we are using NET scores for team play.
Final tee times for Casual/Fun Events will be sent out immediately after they are made on the response deadline.
