We've all been there before. Standing in the airport baggage claim area watching the baggage belt circle by looking for our bags with some shred of hope they will come around on the next pass.

More often than not, it is just a hope.

It appears Rory McIlory is no different than any other traveler these days. Unfortunately for him, not only did he choke away a four shot lead at the Masters last weekend. He is now without his bags; including his clubs, for his next event in Malaysia.

"It's one of those things," McIlroy said, and you have to guess that it was with a Charlie Brown-esque sigh. "Going through so many time zones and so many connecting flights your bags are going to get lost sometimes."

It wouldn't be so bad I guess but his clubs do help the young Irishman make a living on the links. To some this may be a good thing as those are the clubs with some bad memories in them from Sunday at Augusta.

You remember don't you? The tee shot on 10 that seemed to find housing most never knew existed at Augusta.

Even Rory may be happy that driver is gone for now.

Even after the infamous tweet and picture he posted through twitter on Sunday became an instant classic on the internet showing McIlory sharing a smile with now Masters champion Charl Schwartzel.

"At least one of us is wearing a green jacket".

You knew it wouldn't be long before he was once again in the news.

No one now could have predicted this I am sure. It just goes to show you when it rains it pours. Even for a professional golfer on the PGA Tour. I wonder how he will report his missing items to the airline?

Missing: Golf bag containing driver that carries too far on a bad swing to play a second shot forcing the player to choke a way a four shot lead on the back nine of Augusta. If found, please do not return to owner.
