Lee Westwoods #1 world ranking didnt last very long. Not surprising seeing how he only has 3 wins to his credit.
Congradulations are in order for Martin Kaymer, who now holds the top spot in the world golf rankings. He becomes the 2nd German to hold the spot. Bernard Langer held it for all of 3 weeks when the first world rankings were designated at the 1996 Masters.
He will have his hands full against Luke Donald. Donald needed only 27 holes in the quarterfinal whipping of Ryan Moore and his annihlation of Matt Kuchar in the Semifinals.

2/27/2011 2:31:11 AM It's definitely not gonna be a blowout. i'd say it goes 19-20 holes to Kaymer. |

2/26/2011 8:33:48 PM Kaymer is clearly playing the best of anyone right now and has been since his win at the PGA. This has been overdue with Westwood at the #1 ranking. If Donald wins tomorrow, things will take a HUGE jumbling. It would be Kaymer #1, Westwood #2, Donald #3, McDowell #4, Woods #5, Mickelson #6. If Kaymer wins it would go Kaymer #1, Westwood #2, McDowell #3, Woods #4, either Mickelson or Donald #5 with the one who isn't at #6. |

2/26/2011 8:13:08 PM Also, he is the second youngest to ever hold the spot, at the age of 26. Some guy named Woods became #1 at the age of 21. Not sure what ever became of him. |
