· The Golf Club of The Wharf - The Golf Club of The Wharf offers a spectacular golfing experience. The beautiful setting, challenging course, and elegant clubhouse create a golf atmosphere that both the golf novice and enthusiast will admire. Designed in the traditional plantation-style, The Clubhouse at The Golf Club of The Wharf is complete with a dining room and golf Pro Shop. The Clubhouse is perfectly situated to give guests a spectacular view of the surrounding fairways. Formerly known as The Gulf Shores Golf Club, the course was built in the 1960’s and was the first golf course in Gulf Shores. In November 2005, the course closed to undergo a complete renovation. Taking place under the guidance of Jay and Carter Morrish, the renovation lengthened the par 71 course by 300 yards and added numerous water features, enhanced fairways, and additional bunkers. The goals to beautify and enhance the course, and to make play more challenging, have been achieved.

A perfect complement to its big sister, Cotton Creek, this course has a coastal feel as it traverses a unique system of cord-grass accented lakes which come into play on nearly every hole. Cypress Bend offers wide fairways, vast landing areas and large undulating greens, giving golfers confidence as they prepare to tackle this Palmer creation.
