CLUB LEADERSHIP

* Club Chairperson - Bruce Taylor (ArizonaBlue)

GENERAL RULES

* All members must live or work within fifty (50) miles of the club's main location which is zip code 85701.
* All members must have a valid zip code entered on USHandicap. Failure to comply will result in being removed from the club.
* All members must list their first and last name in addition to their profile name for identification purposes. Failure to comply will result in being removed from the club.
* All members must designate Tucson Area #701 aka Southern Arizona Golf Club as their "primary" club.
* Member locations will be reviewed using reports provided by USHandicap on a regular basis. If your location is beyond the fifty (50) mile radius, you will be removed from the club.
* Members must use USHandicap to post their scores.
* Members must fulfill the Event Commitment during their Membership Year to be compliant with USGA Regulations.
* A "Membership Year" is defined as one year from the date that a non-member joins the club.
* Members who do not fulfill the Event Commitment and HAVE NOT completed one (1) club event and at least one (1) attested round with another SAGC member will be removed from the club permanently.
* Members who do not fulfill the Event Commitment and HAVE completed one (1) club event and at least one (1) attested round with a SAGC member will have their membership status changed to Non-Compliant, will not receive a Handicap Index and will be given a three (3) month extension to fulfill the Event Commitment.
* Members who have been changed to a Non-Compliant status and DO NOT fulfill their Event Commitment during the three (3) month extension will be removed from the club permanently.
* Members who have been changed to a Non-Compliant status and DO fulfill their Event Commitment during the three (3) month extension will have their membership status changed from Non-Compliant to Compliant-In-Process, will regain their Handicap Index and will begin a new Membership Year on the date that they fulfilled the Event Commitment.
* If a member finds that they are not going to be able to fulfill the USGA requirements of membership (three attested rounds with a SAGC member and one club event) during their membership year nor during the three-month period of Non-Compliant status, then they may contact the SAGC Chairperson during their membership year or during the three-month period of Non-Compliant status to appeal for an extension. This appeal must explain in detail and provide documentation as to why the member would be unable to fulfill the USGA requirements. Members will be eligible to file an appeal only if they had fulfilled at least half of their USGA requirements and only if the appeal was filed before the end of the three-month period of Non-Compliant status.
* Members who are inactive for a period of six (6) months will be removed from the club permanently.

EVENT COMMITMENT

* All members must play in at least one (1) club sponsored event per year (USGA Requirement) which can consist of any of the following:
*** SAGC Tournaments
*** SAGC Club Events
*** USHandicap vTour Events
* All members must play at least three (3) rounds with other SAGC members during their membership year (USGA Requirement). For a round to qualify, members must:
*** Post scores on USHandicap
*** Be attested by a playing partner who is a member of SAGC who also posts a score for the same day and course.

CLUB SPONSORED EVENTS

* Club sponsored events can be coordinated by ANY member of the club.
* The event must be announced formally either as a comment on the club home page or as a message to all members.
* Please contact the club chairperson for setup details.
* The coordinator of the event must send the following information to the club chairperson for tracking purposes following the event:
*** Date of Event
*** Course Played
*** List of Members who played in the event
