ARTICLE I
Name and Territorial Limits

Section 1: The name of this club shall be Philadelphia Area #013 Golf Club

Section 2: The USGA ID of the club is 27804

Section 3: The territorial limits of this club shall be a fifty-mile radius from zip code 19103.

Section 4: USHandicap/Golfnet (web site) will be used to manage the club

ARTICLE II
Purpose

Section 1:
The objectives of this club shall be:
a) To stimulate interest in golf in the tri-state area by bringing together a group of golfers to form a golfing organization
b) To supervise golf activities, provide peer review, and maintain the integrity of the USGA Handicap System
c) To provide an authoritative body to govern and conduct club competitions

ARTICLE III
Score Posting

Section 1: The USGA Rules of Golf should govern all play. All rounds should be played to the best of your ability.

Section 2: All scores should be posted in accordance with the USGA handicap system. Please try to post within 3 days of play. All USGA qualifying 9 hole and 18 hole rounds should be posted.

Section 3: All tournament scores must be be posted using the Hole-by-Hole method if ESC is required. The gross score can be entered if the ESC system is not required. Make sure the tees, rating/slope, and date you played are all correct when posting scores. If the correct tees or score card is not available on the website please follow the directions on the website to have them added. Any tournament can have additional rules. Please note, if the scores are posted by the Chairman, this section can be ignored.

ARTICLE III
Membership

Section 1: Once you are a member, if requested, you must accept the chairman as a friend on the site. This is important so you can communicate easily.

Section 2: You must have at least a premium (paid) level membership on USHandicap/Golfnet to maintain a handicap as required by Golfnet.

Section 3: Your profile must have your correct First and Last name, Email and correct Zip Code.

Section 4:
a) The USGA requires you play at least 3 rounds per calendar year. This includes the tournament round you are required to play in.
b) A vTour can count as your tournament round and is free to play (excluding greens fees.) Make sure you check the yes box when you play with another club member and have the score attested by a club member.
c) To maintain club membership, USHandicap must show you played 3 rounds with a Philly013 club member per calendar year. The scores must be attested by club members.
d) You must play in at least one club event per calendar year. Only events listed in our season calendar count as a club event. (This must be with another member, verifiable and attested by a club member.)

Section 5: These bylaws are mandatory of all members to help ensure we keep the integrity of the USGA Handicap System. Failure to follow any of these bylaws could result in removal from the club.

Section 6: Any member (no matter how long they have been a member), deemed by the committee to have “little or no interaction with the membership” will be subject to removal from the club.

Section 7: Membership confers no special privileges in connection with any golf course or any voice in the operation of any facility.

Section 8: Memberships in the club are for a calendar year only, with all club memberships expiring on (December 31st). At the end of the year, your membership status will be reviewed. If you haven’t complied with the club bylaws, you will be removed. Please note, this is not the same as your USHandicap fee schedule. Removal from the club does not affect your USHandicap membership, only your club membership.

Section 9: Eligibility requirements for the Club Championship are as follows:
a) Member must have established an official USGA Handicap Index to win the event
b) Member must have played in at least 1 club sponsored event during the current calendar year and have it attested and verifiable to qualify for playing in the Club Championship.

ARTICLE IV
Definitions and Decisions

Section 1: These are listed in the document “Golf Club Definitions & Decisions” available in the clubs “Files” section. This document will further explain club rules based on previous decisions. The document supersedes this by-laws document for any club or membership decision. It is strongly suggested that you become familiar with it.

ARTICLE V
Board

Section 1: The Board of Directors shall consist of 1 to 2 members in good standing of the club and they shall exercise all powers of management of the club. These positions are lifetime.
