Is this club still alive? There's no postings after 2016? Who is running the program? I'm new so just trying to understand what's going on...thanks for responses.

Hey everyone! I want to start planning an end-of-year tournament for possible mid-November. If anyone has any "hookups" on good deals to play, please let me know and we can look into it. I will also start calling golf courses as well to get some quotes. As always, please provide any suggested courses below and I can include them in the list to call.

Would like to play some courses with some members, I just don't think that this medium is very conducive for that to occur. I wish maybe some how we could do an e-mail blast for weekly outings. I only check this weekly, if that. I think most other active members are the same.

Hello everyone!

I would like to announce that I am now taking over Chairman responsibilities for the club. For those that do not know me, my name is Pete and was the original chairman of this club when it was first formed in late 2008/early 2009 and held the position for about 5 years. I left to focus on a side business, and I am now back and happy to be taking over the responsibilities.

What does this mean?
- I will start setting up more club-sponsored events to allow members to play with other club members AND allow them to fulfill their obligations to participate in at least one club event.
- I will pay close attention to members who have not fulfilled their responsibilities (e.g., played with other members at least 3 times in a year, played in at least one club event, etc.) and address each individually.

If anyone wants to take the initiative to setup an outing to be considered a club event, please let me know and I will be happy to create an event sign-up page for you.

I received a message from Bruce (chairman of the SAGC - Tucson club), and he wanted to make sure everyone saw this tournament posting for the 4th annual Duel in the Desert even in June. I don't know if I'll be able to make it, but hope many are there to represent Phoenix.

Wondering if we can set-up a vTour events so members that haven't been able to play in one of the regular tournaments can meet their yearly requirement? Happy to help, but don't know what to do or how they work.

For anyone interested, my daughter's school is hosting a fundraising tournament on Monday, April 21 at Arrowhead CC. I've already got a foursome, but I think they are having trouble filling up. The tourney is a 4 man scramble and the cost is $150 per person. Deadline is currently 4/10, but I anticipate it will be extended.
