I would take them at their word and play a 5 fairway wood.

My Drive ends up somewhere close to the marker most of the time. Being a elevated green to get to, with nothing but slope down to the water. I tried a couple of times when I was younger and dumber to hit the green in two but it would come up just a little short and roll all the way back down to the water.
Lay up to the cart signs and get on in three has worked well. One of my first real lessons in course management,Wish I learned more back in the 1990's. Thanks for your Pic it cracks us up every time
