9/13/2013 8:10:24 AM Oh, and my putter was my MacGregor Response ZT. Remember those huge things? I game it every once in a while...rolls the ball surprisingly well. |

9/13/2013 8:09:19 AM Those were the Wilson irons, Dandy. Haven't played with anything else since they got reshafted. I was hitting the "new" driver though...I got an old Cleveland Launcher 460 with an NV65 in it. I've got a 3 wood to match it somewhere, needs a new shaft though. Used my 975F 3 wood, and a couple hybrids this time. |

9/11/2013 7:32:59 AM Can't wait buddy! I'll feel at home in those Texas winds... Texas and FL are so much alike. This round is the epitome of why I'm gonna have fun with you Tim... just solid all around and obviously the course is a great test with long Par 5s and 4s. Should be a blast! |

9/10/2013 7:43:29 PM Very windy, hard to get any GIRs! Always seems to be a windy day when I play this course. Had good chances on the greens I did hit, but only converted two. On #3, I hit a monster 3 wood into the wind from 250 out that actually ended up past the pin...never done that before into the wind on a par 5 that long. But here's how windy it was, especially on the back 9: On #18--which was downwind--after striping my drive, I had 220 to the middle...200 to the front, 240 back. Pin was in the middle, but the green was a peninsula-type thing sticking out into a pond so I figured I'd just try to sneak one onto the front instead of trying to carry into the green and risking more water. So I hit 5 iron thinking it would probably just get onto the front (again, it was downwind). I normally hit 5 iron 180...welllll...that sucker carried all the way TO the green, took a big hop, and ended up in the fringe BEHIND the green. A 245-yard 5 iron. Welcome to Texas wind. |
