Driving was a little shaky today actually, and my short game wasn't exceptional. Some of the stats are misleading though. #12 I a fairly long bunker shot to 5ft and barely missed the putt. Some of my misses (shots and putts) were just off by fractions. Off course I made some really long putts too, so that evens out some. No birdies on Par 5s killed me. I could have shot 69 if I just made two of those birdie opportunities. I had a chance on all four par 5s, two of them around 6 ft or closer! I need to work no more consistency off of the tee. I need to back off on distance on a few holes #13, and #1, and I need to stop setting up to hit fades with my driver. I just need to aim for straight or draw shots. The fade set up causes me to leave the face too open and lose distance and accuracy.
