Thanks guys! I mean, a 78 with 3 penalties, I'll take it for sure. Except on the three penalty holes I was hitting the ball quite well...made a minor swing change last week and it really helped. I am stoked to get out again soon. Those Wilson irons are just amazing now since the reshaft. Just perfect ball flight! Not too high, not too low. On 17, which I obviously 3-putted, the wind was blowing 20mph into my face...I had 205 to the pin, hit my 2 iron and it didn't even TRY to balloon. Stayed at treetop height the whole way, carried to the middle of the green and rolled up to pin high. Shots like that make your balls grow a bit! I played #3 as well as I ever have. I hit my drive about 280 and had 240 left...decided to go for it and hit a beautiful 3 wood draw that threaded between a hallway of bunkers and landed on the front of the green, rolled up to 20 feet. Burned the edge on the eagle but made the comeback for bird. Oh, also kinda fun, I played today with my original Taylormade Bur

Your front 9 was damn good Tim. That Texas heat can ruin a round fast enough. Tough course; don't fret too much. You always bring it.

We all have our days Big T. Well except one guy here. LOL It's golf and it can be cruel and frustrating. It seems like when we get a bad start, we start pressing for those birdies and get off our game. You didn't give up. Good back 9. I see the rating is a 73.7 and not one of those 68.9 courses with no bunkers. : )

Started on the back 9 and played terrible. Leaked my drive a little bit into the trees on #11. Tried to get fancy on the escape shot, hit a tree, lost the ball in bushes and had to replay the shot. Then found water on 16 and 18. Figured I might as well shoot 3 under on the front...didn't do it, but I lipped out 3 other birdie putts on the front in addition to the two I made!
