What a ridiculous round- I was either flying the ball within birdie range (and missing the putt) or I was duffing some friggin half wedge from 70 yards-
The highlight of the round was on 10, check this out: My drive slices right and ends up under a bush in the right rough. All I can do is bend down and give the ball a little hack with a 5 iron to extricate it. Now I'm still in the rough with 134 to the pin going for the green in 3.

It's a little uphill so I give it a full 9 iron and watch it sail towards the green. The front edge of the green has a raised hump with a long bunker below it and I was screaming for it to get over the sand. It did but then I couldn't see where it was coming to rest because of my line of sight to the green. My playing partner in the fairway had a better view and says " I think it just went in the hole"

Yeah ok, it probably trickled off the green, I'm thinking as I walk up to the green. The ball is nowhere near the green so I had to check the hole, just waiting to be disappointed. Peeking in and seeing that white ball in the cup was the best damn feeling in the world! Holed out for birdie from 134, I was beaming- Good stuff, then I promptly made double on the next hole and the rest of the round was a shit show-
