1/3/2014 2:42:55 PM Altadena plays as a par 36. The tees are all the way back on #9, and it plays as a par 5, making the course a par 36. I drove the ball well, but still need to work on pitch shots between 40 to 100 yards. The last hole was sanded and very bumpy, making it more difficult to two putt off the back of the green. I made a good up and down on #2 by putting well off the green on a tight muddy lie. I also hit a great putt from about 60 feet to the right of the green on #4. I have found I am able to control the distance fairly consistently with these longer putts off the green. I hit a good bunker shot on #3 out of some fairly thick and wet sand. I was pleased with that shot. |
