At my home course Deerwood GC in Kingwood, Tx
#17 187 yards into the wind, pin is in the valley. I take a 4 iron due to the wind and proceed to hit a perfect baby draw into the front part of the green and it then rolls over into the valley and disappears from sight. I knew it was good when I hit it and said " that's either in the hole or right on it". No one else hit the green so when I walked up from the cart and saw no ball ball I knew it was in. Funny thing was, it was anticlimactic for me as I thought I would be more excited??? I actually was thinking, okay how do I mark this on my card, a one with two circles around it or is it a square? It didn't seem any more exciting than a birdie to me. I did make sure I kept it low key as it was Friday and the course was packed. Think I got out of there with a $200 tab! |
