Our club (Philly Area #013) is having an event on 7/27 at Town and Country Golf Links. We have decided to open this one up to anyone interested. Previously, people have expressed interest in meeting others and playing with members for a legitimate "T" score and an attested round.
If you are interested and can actually be at T&C on that Saturday, you are welcome to join. I would warn you that it is usually 8-10 players. There is nothing special set up on the course. We simply have consecutive tee times. You get paired when you arrive. Afterwards we all sit around an talk, eat... Nothing extra is included beyond the golf and cart fees. If you're in another club in the Philly/South Jersey area this is a GREAT opportunity to see how an ACTIVE club should be run. When you joined USHandicap/Stracka you were put in the club that is closest to your zip code by default. As you've probably found out, most clubs don't do ANYTHING at all and that's evidenced by the non-response by your club chairman, frustrated posts by other members or just lack of all communication on the club's page. The Philly Area #013 club is one of just a handful of clubs that is active on this site so come out to this event and see how things SHOULD be done.
If you like what you see and are tired of the non-functioning club you're in, then all you have to do is send a message to GreenReader and he can move you to our club. I DO NOT recommend submitting a Support Ticket or asking your club chairman for a transfer as it can take a long time to get changed over, if at all. Come out and have some fun with us! |

It says that the tee times will start at 10. Any idea when the last few tee times will be? I guess it depends on how many people want in but I would love to know so that I can decide whether it would be feasible to make it down with my travel plans.

Cut off for sign up is 1 week prior so we'll know how many we will have a week ahead of time. If tee times are an issue then we can just put you in one of the first tee times. Not a problem. |

We will all be off the tee by 10:40 at the latest. However, I would think you would have to think something like 10:24... I hope that helps. If you are driving far, simply add coffee ;-) |
