No, not Sara Brown. Congrats to her and no disrespect, but I'm talking about Gerina Piller (Gerina Mendoza when she was on Big Break). She was tied for the lead on the back nine at the LPGA Championship yesterday. She ran into trouble on the par 5 17th, but finished the day at 3 under, tied for sixth. She was the second American, behind Stacy Lewis and ahead of Paula Creamer. A pretty good weekend for the former UTEP Miner who hails from Nancy Lopez' hometown of Roswell, NM.

Definitely. Gerina was awesome. Favorite player from PEI by far. Will be cool to see her again on Big Break Atlantis tonight.

I was watching the girls on Sunday and not the guys. I was pulling for her. She was on fire until she ran into so trouble on 17. Great par on 18. Hope they never talk to her husband again on TV anyway. I have never had to talk on TV before so I don't know if that is got to him but that was not good.

Like Troy I was watching the ladies. What a performance in a major. Pretty impressive pulling it together after all that happened on 17.
I also agree that interview with her husband was painful to watch. |

I thought she'd do better from the locations that she picked out. still great shots (except for the fat sand shot) The tic-tac-toe game looked cool, first time I've seen that. Kinda wish I had one at home |

Like Goynes famously said though, when are you ever gonna have to hit through a pane of glass in a LPGA/PGA tour event? |

I believe Bubba Watson had about that sized window to win the Masters, even if the glass wasn't there |

Sara Brown is the reason I follow womens golf. any given big break at least 75% of the ladies are hot but Sara just had a great attitude and way of doing things. I've been fortunate enough to meet her and get to hang with her a little bit and she is just a top notch person. She is good friends with Gerina and I was out playing golf on sunday and wasn't aware of what Gerina was doing until I saw Sara tweet about it. I really hope the womens game is able to rise from the ashes a bit because in so many ways the mens game is getting too big for it's britches.

You'd both enjoy conversing about everything Sara. |
