I don't know whether anyone noticed a news item last week in which Nick Faldo was knighted in the Queen's Birthday Honours List. What does everyone think about him becoming "Sir Nick Faldo"? Does anyone care?!

He had always struck me as a guy with a big chip on his shoulder and his appointment as European Ryder Cup captain for last year's match worried me (as a European!). Even though we lost, I think he did a pretty good job and didn't put his foot in his mouth too badly as I had expected. Frankly, I am warming to him and look forward to his CBS colleagues referring to him as "Sir Nick" on air!
