We are in the process of loading our data into the USGA's centralized computation service. When this is complete you will get a GHIN number.
Your club needs someone to handle the USGA authorization form before this can happen. Please contact chairmanservices@ushandicap.com if you can help out. (This will take 10 minutes of your time.)

Oh is something new? supplying members a GHIN number. Or was always dependent of the particular online course you belong to?

This is new in 2020 as we are required to interface with the "USGA's centralized computation service". When complete, active members will get a "GHIN" number, though we are supposed to call it a "USGA ID".
There is lots of red tape with the USGA with this process and there are many clubs that still need to complete authorization forms.
