How do I get a GHIN handicap? Can't sign in on the GHIN website without a GHIN number. But can't get a GHIN number without registering on the website. Does this site help me get a number? What did I just pay $30 for?

From the homepage BEFORE you log in. Can't see it? Log out then click on the USHandicap logo at top left corner and scroll down.
GHIN US Handicap does not participate in the GHIN computation service. GHIN is a different handicap system used by some regional golf associations. US Handicap clubs are licensed directly by the USGA and use the GolfNet handicap network. GolfNet and GHIN are not the same handicap service, but both are USGA compliant. The Handicap Index you receive on US Handicap will not be found on the GHIN Network. USGA Licensing Compliant golf clubs on US Handicap are licensed directly by the USGA and appear on http://www.usga.org' target='_new' rel='nofollow'>http://www.usga.org' target='_new' rel='nofollow'>http://www.usga.org' target='_new' rel='nofollow'>http://www.usga.org in their authorized club database. Each compliant club on this site will link to it's official listing on http://www.usga.org' target='_new' rel='nofollow'>http://www.usga.org' target='_new' rel='nofollow'>http://www.usga.org' target='_new' rel='nofollow'>http://www.usga.org If you have a Handicap Index on this site, then your handicap is licensed and recognized with the USGA. Golf Tournaments Tournaments often ask for a GHIN number because the GHIN system enables golfers, who are members of a regional association, lookup each other's handicap, or enter scores from a course computer. Tournaments or other relevant bodies can verify an official club status on http://www.usga.org' target='_new' rel='nofollow'>http://www.usga.org' target='_new' rel='nofollow'>http://www.usga.org' target='_new' rel='nofollow'>http://www.usga.org and can use the US Handicap Handicap Lookup to confirm a member's index. If the tournament has any further questions, they are welcome to contact us directly. |

Does anybody know if USHandicap.com plans to update for the new World Handicap System taking effect January 1, 2020?
If not, it would be a waste of my money to continue paying for this service |
