I'm new to site and was wondering what the course Handicap Calculator does? If I clik on it it shows a number I.e 8 . Currently my handicap is 12.7

In the handicap box you would enter your handicap index of 12.7. In the slope box, enter the slope from the tees you will play for a round. For instance, your last round was at Spring Hollow and the tees you played had a slope of 110. That calculation gives you a course handicap of 12. You shot 78. So you actually shot a net 66, or 4 under par for your handicap. 78-12 handicap= net 66

Thanks that helped . At my age of 72 I guess I need to remain playing well. I just can't hit and score from most white tees anymore , oh well that's life . Thanks again

One other question if you wouldn't mind. I see most golfers on list appear to have a username where I just have GOLFER . How and why is that

Click on "My Profile" then click on the circle with the "G" or "JH" in it near the top of the page. You should be able to edit your name and display name in that pop up window.
