The hell with it! No sense complaining about it like a frustrated Lyft driver in the airport queue. Try and make the best of it. Springfield and Raven's Claw were, umm.. interesting early season attempts. Good to get together and get out but I played no significant golf at either.
Had a couple early season lessons with Wally, have one more in the package. Might set that one up soon. Had an almost good round at Rancocas this morning. Just me and Jimmy booked and were joined by a guy named Bob. Off at 6:03 and done a quarter of 10. 3 pars on each side, hit some fairways and greens. Also 2 quads on each side to guard against an actual good round! No 3 putts and holed 5 on the first try, good bunker work, found about 5 of those. Driver was 3 for 8, other tee clubs went 2 for 7. Clocked the drive on the first tee at 253...! Had some ProV1x's I salvaged and maybe the ball does make a difference? So RiverWinds next weekend, let's Rock N' Roll..!! |

Got a warm up in at Rancocas. 6 holes before the weather got a little too up close and personal.. Sat it out in the clubhouse for an hour while the worst of it made its way through. Watched a 2'some meander casually down the 10th fairway in a downpour with thunder all around. They disappeared around the bend to 11 and shortly after two substantial bolts of lightning hit just over in that direction. A few minutes later we saw them making their way back towards us... I thought I saw some bills being passed in one of the other waiting groups!
We did finish the round, left the score card on cart. Nothing remarkable, I did have a par and a birdie on the back. No real blowups, just a bunch of doubles and triples. Bogies on the par 5's and a double on Wheaton after an OB tee ball. Hit two fairways out of the trees! Another couple of solid drives, one resulted in that birdie. On the RiverWinds! Tally Ho!! |

Hot & humid at RiverWinds! What started as a round of golf turned into a struggle for survival. 2 pars a birdie, (2 rounds in a row) and a bunch of sweat in the eyes slippery grip crap! Good to get out with the guys, but wow!
