Has anyone tried the MG Tour 380E ball?

I am just curious if anyone has tried this ball yet?

The MG website says it's similar to the NXT Tour (which I play) so I bought a dozen.

I have played one round with it so far... One thing I can say is it did not feel like the NXT Tour on the tee, fairway, or green. But, I did like it. It puts a bit better since it fells softer. I'm not sure about approach spin yet, the greens were heavily sanded for the winter. Off the tee if felt "heavy" but seemed to give me the same distance as an NTX Tour if not slightly more. It was equally durable. After 18 it looked used but still has 18 (or until I loose it) more in it. It hit a cart path from a 54 wedge and took on a serious scuff, but that was to be expected. I cleaned it and kept playing it.

Anybody else give it a whirl yet???

Just a little follow up in case anyone searches this in the future...

I think the ball has a bit more spin than the NXT Tour. No problem holding greens. It also feels good on the putter. On the driver and irons it feels a bit different but the results are the about the same as the NXT Tour.

All in all I like this ball.

BTW, I have heard great things about the C4 which is why I even gave this a try.

Never heard of either until now. Sounds worth trying, especially at the price.

OK, here is my final installment. I played 36 yesterday. I used each ball for several holes. (The 380E and the NXT Tour.)

Putting: I like the 380E a bit better. It feels softer (but not by much.)

Distance: The 380E was 5 yards longer on mid irons and 5+ on the driver.

Driver spin: NXT Tour seemed lower (non technical answer) as my drives were consistently straiter with it.

Short iron/wedge hold: NXT Tour held a bit better on the approach shots. I don't get a lot of spin anyway, but the held better.

Trajectory: About the same, the 380E may be a bit lower.

The final take...
I would have to say the NXT Tour plays better and is definitely more consistent. The 380E is a great ball for the price. If I could play either, I would pick the NXT Tour every time.
