If you were going to play in a tournament and your handicap was 9. You would probably get 4 strokes per 9 holes. Question is, would you hit from the white tees and get the strokes or at age 65 you could move up to the senior tees and get no strokes.

This should come down to whether or not you're as comfortable with your longer irons as you are with your wedges. If you don't feel good hitting like 5 iron on a hole where you could hit pitching wedge, go to the senior tees and take the shorter approaches.

If you are playing to a 9, it sounds like you can still score from the whites so keep on playing from them till your body says enough is enough.

I'm with this guy. Vince, I wish I had the length off the tee to play from the tips but at 65 yrs old I don't anymore. So playing it forward is way more fun these days. |

Looks like I need to take a road trip south if I'm going to play anymore until march. |
