KC Area #392 is a USGA Compliant Golf Club. Effective 1/1/2010, Stracka had to start charging for membership to get official USGA Handicaps. Please read the alert at the top of this page explaining why they now charge for something that was free in the past. But to make a long read short. All the State Associations charge a club fee for handicaps and Stracka had paid for these in the past. As the chairman of the club, I had gotten a bill last year from the Missouri Golf Assn. I was very surprised and contacted Stracka, it was several hundred dollars. I was not about to pay several hundred dollars so everyone in the club could have a USGA handicap. So, now in order to get an Official Handicap, you must pay for it just like you would at your home course, but it is a little cheaper through Stracka. You can still track your rounds, stats and handicap through Stracka for free, which is what I will probably will continue to do, since I only play in a USGA event every several years. I am not planning on playing in one this summer, so I will probably not pay for a card.

Hey fellas, this is the first time in awhile i've been able to sit down and look at everything that goes into tracking my handicap. some of these questions are probably very basic, so please bare with me. Where exactly is KC Area #392? When is the next tourney? how often are you guys getting together to play?!! I live down in Warrensburg, MO, and this was one of the few clubs to join, so I have a bit to drive but would like to hook up on saturday mornings. Thanks and have a great season!

When is the next club tourny or get together? I am looking forward to meeting some new golf buddies.

I need to come out and play with you guys sometime this spring. I'd like to play Drumm farm, I was thinking about getting in that 3day school they have there. Has anyone tried out the Ritson & sole golf school?

Gentleman, do not worry about pairings, or specific tee times. Plan on teeing off at 1:00. If the trend continues, there is only going to be 4 or 5 of us playing. I will not secure the tee times until I am sure how many players we will have. You can call me with any questions at 816-213-0571. --Jeff Littleton I am sure how many players we will have. I had the perfect partner for a two man scramble on Sat. Then showed up. We, my partner ended up two under. What a disaster!!!

PS: We must form a Committee. We need at least 5 members to go on line and take the Handicap course.

Greetings Members. I received a phone call from the USGA. If you do not have your address updated on your account profile, the USGA will drop you from the club. Our club is a Class 3, geographically based club for Kansas City Area residents. They are going to enforce a rule stating all members must live within 50 miles. Please update your profile. The USGA told me that they intend to drop any current member that lives over 50 miles from the 64105. They also reminded me that members must play with other members at least 3 times per calender year. I have been instructed to drop any member at the end of the year that does not have 3 scores that correspond with scores of other members. If you live farther than 50 miles and want to remain a member, you MUST play with other members to maintain your status. Sorry for the bad news. They are going to look at the addresses again on July 30th and drop non-compliant members on Aug. 1st. If you get signed up for the tournament they will not drop you.--Jeff, the Chairman.

On 7-1 my HCP was a 22.3, at noon on 7/1 it was a 22.7, and on the 6th it went to a 23.2 or whatever the hell it is and I didn't even post a score. Does anyone know why???
